How did you become a baseball fan?
I'm not sure I really remember becoming a baseball fan. Both my
parents were pretty uninterested in sports. But I grew up in San
Francisco, and I must have picked it up from friends. My father passed
away when I was 17, and I just recently talked to a cousin of his, who
surprised me by telling me that when my father was a young boy he used
to love baseball (and also boxing). He used to listen to games on the
