SBC Park, known for its first four years as "Pac Bell Park," is widely regarded as the finest of all the retro, neoclassical baseball stadiums built in the last few years. It is beautiful in almost every way, from the Bay scenic backdrop to the palm trees to the brick construction… - Andrew Clem
It’s only the ninth day of the year, but I think I have come across what might prove to be my favorite site of the year.
Andrew Clem’s Baseball, Our National Pastime & Its “Green Cathedrals,” is a wonderful combination of photos, diagrams, history, commentary and blog. He ranks SBC Park as the fourth best all-time.
Clem has other interests so be sure to visit his home page. If you are a birder, you won’t want to miss his bird section.
Andrew, fantastic job!
I always make it a point to bring any visiting tourist to SBC Park to watch the Giants play. The new ballpark is truly awesome and I love how even the bleacher seats are good seats.
