Note: I am in the process of putting my commemorative markers survey in book form. As I re-verify the addresses, I will post some observations along the way.
My survey of the commemorative markers in Old Town and Parker Gray reveals 22 churches so honored. Yesterday I re-visited Christ Church, one of my favorite spaces in Old Town. With most places of worship, one would probably feel very uncomfortable walking around the grounds. With its pathways and open gates, Christ Church invites you in with open arms.
Before yesterday, I had not come across any new markers. But I was pleasantly surprised to see Christ Church has added a new one. It’s not the typical marker, but it certainly qualifies. There's actually two, one for the east entrance at Washington Street, and one of the west, at N. Columbus.
