The transcribing continues for my book, slowed down by the August doldrums. I also continue to look for any new markers.
Walking along S. Pitt the other day,
I gazed across the street.
Looking at the yellow-painted house at 123, I noticed a new one that
was not there in the summer of 2010.
Turns out it’s not only a new marker, it involves Alexandria’s favorite visitor, George Washington. The presentation of the marker goes way beyond anything I have seen.
Such discoveries will be few and far between, so I am savoring this one.
By the way, is it autumn yet?
