Walking near the waterfront in Old Town mid-week produced
a wonderful conversation with two artists, Susan Johnson and Ellie
Kileline. Under a
shady spot where the Strand meets Prince Street by Founders Park, they focused
sharply on a row of buildings you might know as centered on Chadwick’s. Their painted beauty stood in stark contrast to the opposite side of The Strand, a set of blocks long, long, overdue for improvement.
