Since an early age I’ve been fascinated with geography and maps. When we moved here to Washington in 1995, that fascination went into a higher gear. The geography of “DMV” and the mid-Atlantic is one of the most intriguing in the United States.
So, I thought it would be fun to put together a quick quiz. We’ll start with this unmarked map. Can you draw (roughly) the lines for the borders of Virginia, the District, Maryland and Delaware?
Tab down for answer.
Ok, round two is a bit tougher. This time let’s look at the major peninsulas. Most of us know about the big one – the Delmarva Peninsula, but what about the five on the western shore of the Chesapeake? Can you identify and name these five, and the rivers in between each of them?
Tab down.
I couldn't find a map marking these two, but they are named for county as seen.
