Pantheon of Diversity at Inauguration

It will be a feast of diversity at President Obama’s inauguration.

Beyonce will sing the National Anthem.    Myrlie Evers-Williams, the widow of slain civil rights activist Medgar Evers, will deliver the invocation.   Kelly Clarkson will sing my County ‘Tis of Thee.   James Taylor will lend his sweet soft voice to, “America the Beautiful.”   Latino poet Richard Blanco will join a select group including Robert Frost and Maya Angelou, by reading the inaugural poem. Reverend Louie Giglio, pastor in Atlanta, will give the benediction.   Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor will administer the oath of office for Vice President Biden.   Chief Justice Roberts will administer the oath to President Obama.
