Too bad the Inauguration isn’t this coming weekend. Temps in the nation’s capital are expected to soar into the 60s, before trending back down to the normal 40s next week.
Of course, warmer temps this time of year usually mean increased chances of rain. So a forecast of colder weather is perhaps not a bad thing.
Too early to accurately predict Inauguration Day weather, but CWG’s Wes Junker notes:
the advent of any colder air into the region would also start opening up the potential for snow opportunities, though right now nothing is on the horizon.
One good thing for Mall trekkers is the progress of the new turf panels on the Mall. I haven’t been down there recently but this blogger has photos that points to completion from 3rd to 7th.
