Cut off from street traffic by Metro tracks, playing
fields and a remote corner of a neighborhood, and served by just one "No-Through-Street," Monroe Square at Del Ray promises
to be some kind of sanctuary for residents, walkers, runners, and cyclists.
The 276-unit luxury apartments at the corner of Main Line Boulevard and Monroe Avenue will include 3500 SF of retail. Architects drew inspiration from George Washington Middle School’s art deco design.
Although detached and separated by the Monroe Bridge and Route 1, this snow-coned shape parcel (Bay L) is actually part of the Potomac Yard development.
Striding begins late 2014.
