I enjoyed meeting you. It was fun talking in the Special Collections room. Really appreciate the opportunity afforded by the Library.
Turned out Old Town served up a doubleheader today. After the talk, Roberta and I rushed over to the Alexandria Black History Museum and caught the end of Nancy Noyes Silcox’s presentation on her book – "Samuel Wilbert Tucker, The Story of a Civil Rights Trailblazer and the 1939 Alexandria Library Sit-In."
We bought her book. Looks great. Nancy, thanks for writing about this important piece of Alexandria and American history.
