Picking a favorite park in Alexandria would be one tough cookie. Jones Point Park, Founders, Fort Ward, Oronoco Bay, King Street Gardens, Cameron Run, Windmill, the African-American Heritage, they’re all great in their own way.
We can now add Potomac Yard Park to the list, which will have its Grand Opening tomorrow. The fences came down on Wednesday so we took a first look this morning.
These plazas aline with the terminus of streets.
The 21-acre park features seven new interpretive markers. I love this one with the map and history of paths and roads.
The train was right on time....

LPDA built this park. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts. Potomac Yard Park is something special and stands proud amng the other great parks in Alexandria.
