I hope they don’t mind, but I am putting up a “Map of Fairfax County c. 1745-1748, perhaps by Daniel Jennings,” Library of Congress.
With no much luck, I’ve been using a looking glass to try and get a better look.
As you can see, the scribbling is not so good, but hey, who can complain, a map from over 250 years ago??
I’d welcome any input to try and identify the "roads," churches, creeks and places.
This portion of the county is what I call “the face of Washington.” I rotated the image so the writing can be seen better.
