Took my morning walk along the new Transitway in Alexandria. Talked with one rider who said he was trying to figure out old from new. He ended up talking with the driver who was very accomodating. No rush this morning, a lazy Sunday start.
Looking down to the Monroe Ave Bridge and the north edge of Old Town.
A map from a nearby interpretive marker showing the land owners in the 1740s.
These granite markers are awesome. This shows the streetcars that served this area in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
I love the trick-on-the-eye effect of this building.
