With more and more shoppers buying on-line, retailers are turning to pop up shops.
We’ve noticed an early example of this trend at 116 King Street (nee Decorium). The ceiling's wide wooden beams give it the Old Town look while creative displays include nostalgic items such as 32 ounce wooden bottle crates. North Carolinians will love the Bald Head Blues clothing products and Cape Fear signage.
Seemingly out of place is a drink box that holds Arlington-based South Block’s cold pressed juice bottles.
It’s all part of the plan as the owners will turn nearby 106 N. Lee Street (nee Hannelore's Bridal Boutique) into a juicery on the first floor and co-share work space on the second. The juicery will be South Block’s ninth in the area and Alexandria’s second (Del Ray).
